Middlebury's 90th Winter Carnival, the oldest in the nation, brought many to the Rikert Nordic Center and the College's Snow Bowl for ski racing festivities. Overall, the team placed third behind UVM and Dartmouth, and the Men's GS finished second, the best team result of the weekend. Three Alpine members placed in the top ten - David Donaldson '12 in 3rd, Hig Roberts '14 in 4th and Andrew McNealus '13 in 10th. Mary Sackbauer '13 finished 2nd in the Women's GS. At Rikert, it was Ben Lustgarten '14 with a team-best 4th place finish and Annie Pokorny '15 who paced the women, finishing 8th. Many students, faculty and community members enjoyed the free treats at the base of the mountain, including maple cotton candy and tomato soup. Congratulations to the Middlebury ski team!
