The Princeton Review ranks Middlebury fourth in the country as a school that “runs like butter,” but most students have few opportunities to meet our administrators. Years ago, every Middlebury student used to receive a pamphlet with the names, titles, pictures and job descriptions of most Middlebury administrators, but though the handbook remains accessible online, most students do not take the time to know who is running our school. That is why the Campus has constructed an “administration tree.” Derived from the College’s organization chart, the tree shows the relationship between some selected administrators at Middlebury. We could not fit them all — in total, there are 94 people listed on the official chart — but we hope this tree explains some of the roles of the people who make a big difference at Middlebury.
