After an impressive first year as a tennis standout, Conrad Olson '09 continues to turn his backhands into winners and his agility into victories.
The 2006 NESCAC Rookie of the Year shows no signs of cooling down as the weather does - he has reached the semifinals in all three tournaments this fall. In the Cornell Invitational - the first tournament of the year - Olson and doubles partner Filip Marinkovic '08 had each others' backs, while bringing home the B-flight trophy. The international duo - Olsen hails from Belgium, while Marinkovic is from Canada - reached the finals again last weekend at the ITA New England Championships only to fall to teammates Alex Scott and '07 and George Mayer '07 in the finals. It was more of the same in the singles section as Scott once again took down Olson, this time in the semi-finals.
It seems Scott knows Olson on the court, but does he know what Olson does after he shakes hands at the net?
While Olson's Chateau companion, Paul Thibodeau '08 may not be able to ace his roommate, he must know if Olson wears sandals into the shower.
Who knows Olson better, his tennis teammate, Scott, or the terrific tackler, Thibodeau?
