Middlebury College's 275 acres of land is home to 2,400 trees of countless shapes and sizes. Tim Parsons has been the campus horticulturalist since 2006, and is responsible for caring for and maintaining these trees, as well as landscape design, installation and more.
We gave him the (difficult) task of narrowing down his ten favorite trees and asked him to share a bit about what makes them so special. We hope that this brings you a little taste of Middlebury wherever you are and that you keep an eye out for these trees the next time you're on campus!
