Enjoy these two puzzles as a change of pace from our typical full-sized crosswords. “Envelope, Please” is a British style puzzle commonly known as a cryptic. If you are new to this format, check out go/cryptic or go.middlebury.edu/cryptic/ for a guide from the Wall Street Journal. Definitions are bracketed in the print version for beginners, but if you want a challenge the online version has the training wheels off.
