Cashing in unexpectedly

Author: Abby Willman 08.5

For $5,940 you can purchase 18,000 "Support Our Troops Car Ribbon Magnets" at www.flagsoncars.com. This vendor is charging you $0.33 per magnet and tells you that the magnets retail for $5 each. If you follow their price guideline you would be making $4.67 from the sale of each magnet. If you're a good sales person and sell all 18,000 magnets you will make $84,060.

That's $84,060.00 that is NOT going to support American Troops. For those of you who need clarification, what I am saying is that when you buy a "Support Our Troops Car Ribbon Magnet" you are supporting the manufacturer and the seller of the magnet. Your money is not going to support the troops.

The Bush administration is looking for a way to fund the war in Iraq. I recommend that Bush's people get in touch with the magnet sellers and find a way to cash in on the American public's "Support for the Troops."

Oh and by the way, my roommate and I have decided to manufacture and sell "Support the Ross Rhino Ribbons." What? The idea is good for at least a couple hundred bucks. And no, we don't intend on donating any of the profit to Ross Commons.
