April Qian
April Qian '20 is an Arts & Academics editor.

Previously, she has served as a staff writer for the Arts and Academisc and Local sections.

Qian (pronounced “Tsien,” in case you were wondering) is majoring in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry. She is also pursuing a minor in English and American Literature.

During the summer of 2018, she worked as a marketing intern at a medical start-up based in Shanghai, helping to brainstorm and develop a cohesive marketing package as well as analyze related social media trends in preparation for the start-up’s official launch in December 2018.

On campus, she enjoys learning to play the organ at Mead Chapel, acts as a mentor for a group of middle-school-aged girls in Addison County through the organization Sister to Sister, and is pursuing an independent project in a neuroendocrinology lab.
