BENJY RENTON

Benjy Renton ’21 is the senior local editor.


He has previously served as sports editor, arts and sciences editor, features editor and a staff writer.


Renton is studying East Asian Studies and Geography at Middlebury. His studies concentrate on society, culture, history and geography. He will be spending the winter and spring in 2020 abroad in Beijing and Hangzhou, China.


Over the past five summers, Renton has conducted research on rural education, environmental migration and government policy relating to water quality. He has also worked for a travel company in Beijing, where his responsibilities included marketing trips and creating content for print and web publications.
