Yvette Shi
Yinuo (Yvette) Shi ’19 is an Arts & Academics editor.

She previously served as an arts & sciences contributing writer.

Shi is majoring in International & Global Studies/European Studies with a minor in Film & Media Culture. She plans to do her senior independent work on the Jewish diaspora in Shanghai.

During her 2017-18 school year abroad in Berlin, she interned for the ZEBRA Poetry Film Festival Münster | Berlin as a festival assistant. She also worked as a German-Chinese translator at the 19th Poesiefestival Berlin.

In the past, she has worked as a reporter at The Addison IndependentShanghai Daily and Sixth Tone. This year, she is working on translating a Chinese collection of essays into English with Professor Thomas Moran.
