Women’s Basketball

This past Saturday, the men’s soccer team (5–0) routed the Trinity’s Bantams (1–3), continuing the Panthers’ undefeated start to the season with a 9–0 victory.

This past weekend, the Middlebury men’s tennis team competed in the NESCAC championship as the top seed and two-time defending champions. After handily defeating Trinity College 5–0 in the first round, the Panthers narrowly lost to eventual winners Bowdoin College 4–5 in the semifinals.
The Middlebury women’s ice hockey team is moving on to the NCAA semifinals. In the first round of the NCAA tournament, the Panthers beat Western New England University 8–0, and in the quarterfinals, the team topped Plattsburgh State 2–0.
On Saturday, March 2, the Middlebury women’s hockey team bested Hamilton College in a stunning 4–0 shutout to win the NESCAC Tournament. While the margin of victory came as a surprise, the lockdown defense the team played was but another example of the way they have played all season.
It was a year of growth for the Middlebury men’s basketball team. After a stellar 2022-23 campaign which saw them advance to the second round of the national tournament, the team endured a dip in form as they bowed out to Tufts University in the first round of NESCAC play this year.
