Annie Leonard ’18 put Middlebury ahead of Rochester 4–0 in the second half of Sunday’s contest, with her team-leading sixteenth goal of the season.

The Panthers celebrate together on Kohn Field after making easy work of Trinity. With this victory, the program now has five Nescac titles to its name (all under head coach Katharine DeLorenzo). This marks the team’s fourth conference title in the past six seasons. Their success has earned them another no. 1 seed and home-field advantage in the NCAA Regional.

The Panthers took a knee to receive the Rocking Chair Classic Trophy (depicted above on the right) as the reward for winning their annual “rivalry game” over Hamilton. Middlebury won 41–20, although not even that score was indicitive of how big the blowout was. The Panthers led 41–0 at the half, and many non-senior starters watched the second half from the sidelines.

Jack Meservy ’19 takes off to run as several Bantam defenders try to track him down in Trinity’s 27–5 victory over Middlebury on Saturday, Oct. 28. The loss knocks the Panthers out of Nescac championship contention with two games remaining in the season. Meservy made his first career start against the Nescac’s stingiest defense, as the Bantams allow only 8.1 points per game after holding the Panthers to five.

A bevvy of parents, students and fans gather behind the ropes along the sideline at FieldTurf Field last Saturday, Oct. 14, to cheer on the men’s soccer team in their 1–0 victory over Trinity. The large crowd can be attributed to more than just parents on campus for Fall Family Weekend­. It marked the last regular season Nescac home weekend match for coach David Saward. The highly respected coach will step down after 33 years at the helm of the men’s soccer program. Over 40 ex-players were in attendance to mark the moment for their old coach.
