Seeing early success, NESCACs navigate on-campus life during Covid-19

Middlebury, along with its peers in the New England Small College Athletic Conference, have been able to maintain low Covid-19 rates through a mix of geographical and size advantages paired with stringent health protocol.

Seasons end abruptly due to coronavirus

The NCAA canceled all remaining competitions and winter championships, including the women’s hockey’s NCAA quarterfinal between Middlebury and Endicott College. The game was slated to take place on Saturday, March 14.

The NESCAC canceled all competitions, including conference championships, on March 11 to reduce the spread of Covid-19. The presidents of all 11 NESCAC institutions agreed unanimously on the decision.

Developing: Commencements across Vermont and the Northeast affected by Covid-19

Commencement normally occurs in the morning, but will be moved to the afternoon for the class of 2020 due to the Muslim holiday Eid al-Fitr.
